uka and Anja each measured the height of their friend three times. Their friend is 59 inches tall. They recorded their measureme

nts as shown. Luka: 59 in., 58, in., 58 in. Anja: 59.3 in., 59.6 in., 58.2 in. Which statement is true? Luka’s measurements are more precise and more accurate. Anja’s measurements are more precise and more accurate. Luka’s measurements are more precise, but Anja’s measurements are more accurate. Luka’s measurements are more accurate, but Anja’s measurements are more precise.

Hello there!

Your correct answer would be the (last option, option d). The reason to why Luka’s measurements are more accurate, but Anja’s measurements are more precise would be because if you have noticed, Luka's is rounded to the answer, which would make this accurate, because it's rounded. But when it is very precise, that would be different, because this would not be accurate, because it would contain a direct number in this situation.

I hope this helps you!

Luka’s measurements are more precise, but Anja’s measurements are more accurate is the answer . because luka rounded the answer while anja is giving you the true value her answers are going to be more accurate cheers

A new vaccination is being used in a laboratory experiment to investigate whether it is effective. There are 275 subjects in the
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

From the give information: A new vaccination is being used in a laboratory experiment to investigate whether it is effective. There are 275 subjects in the study. Is there sufficient evidence to determine if vaccination and disease status are related?

Vaccination Status Diseased Not Diseased Total

Vaccinated 53 17 70

Not Vaccinated 62 143 205

Total 115 160 275

In this study, we have two variables ( Vaccination and diseases status ) The null and the alternative hypothesis can be stated as follows:

Null hypothesis: The two variables ( Vaccination and diseases status ) are independent

Alternative hypothesis : The two variables ( Vaccination and diseases status ) are dependent

The Chi-square test statistics can be computed as:

The Expected Values for the table can be calculated by using the formula:

E_i=\dfrac{row \ total \times column \ total}{grand \ total}

Vaccination Status Diseased Not Diseased Total

Vaccinated 29.273 40.727 70

Not Vaccinated 85.727 119.273 205

Total 115 160 275

Chi - Square  \ X^2 = \dfrac{(O_i-E_i)^2}{E_i}

Vaccination Status Diseased Not Diseased Total

Vaccinated 19.232 13.823 33.055

Not Vaccinated 6.564 45.573 52.137

Total 25.796 59.396 85.192

Therefore;

the Chi-Square Test Statistics = 85.192

For this study; we two rows and two columns

Therefore, the degree of freedom = (rows-1) × (columns-1)

the degree of freedom = (2 - 1) × (2 - 1)

the degree of freedom = 1 × 1

the degree of freedom = 1

Using the level of significance of ∝ = 0.05 and degree of freedom = 1 for the chi-square test

The p-value for the test statistics = 0.00001

Decision rule: Since the P-value is lesser than the level of significance , therefore we reject the null hypothesis at the level of significance of 0.05

Conclusion:

We accept the alternative hypothesis and conclude that the two variables

(Vaccination and diseases status ) are dependent i.e the vaccination and disease status are related

The funcilon f(x) = -(x + 5)(x +
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

all numbers less than or equal to -3.

Step-by-step explanation:

The original equation shown is in "root form", a form of a quadratic equation showing where it hits the x-axis. This form does not show, like a "standard form" quadratic equation does, the vertex of the quadratic. The standard form equation is shown below.

ax^2+bx+c

  1. a is a constant showing the vertical stretch or compression of the quadratic. Also it can show if the function is flipped based on if it has a negative symbol at the front.
  2. b isn't very important when graphing unless you want to convert the equation to root-form.
  3. c is the height of the vertex. This is very important to know for this question because the vertex is either the minimum or maximum of the quadratic.

If we want to solve this equation showing all our work, the best bet is converting our equation from root-form to standard-form, like so:

f(x)=-(x+5)(x+1)

  • distribute x and 5 into (x+1). Then take this and distribute the negative sign.

f(x)=-x^2-5x-x-5\\f(x)=-x^2-6x-5

  • This is our standard-form of the quadratic. Now we just need to determine the range of y values it has.
  • Note: The answers are wrong based on the c value I have for this equation, so I'm going to just give the answer closest to this one.

Based on the properties of a standard form equation I gave earlier, this equation will look like an upside down "U" with a maximum value of -5. Therefore (based on the italicized text above), the range of y values for this equation must be "all real numbers less than or equal to -3".

P.S: Message me with any questions or fixes I should make to my math.
