There is a need for glucose inside a cell, but the glucose molecule is too large to pass through the cell membrane by simple diffusion. how does the cell solve this problem?

There is a special mechanism which serves for the transport of the glucose molecule through the membrane and it is called facilitated diffusion. This type of diffusion is also the passive movement (does not require ATP energy) across the cell membrane but it includes the aid of a transmembrane integral protein. Glucose transporter has a specific binding site for glucose and it helps the glucose uptake.
