We can rephrase the question as "What percent of 50 is 20?".
"What percent ..." is an unknown. We'll use the variable x to represent this unknown.

The word 'of' in mathematics can mean 'multiply'. Likewise the word 'is' can mean 'equal'.

Now we have the phrase "20 equals to x times 50".

Or in an equation: 20 = x * 50

Solve for x.

20 = x * 50
\frac{20}{50} = x <-- Divide both sides by 50

Simplify the fraction.

\frac{20}{50} = \frac{2}{5}

Convert the fraction into a decimal.

\frac{2}{5} = 0.4

Convert the decimal into a percent.

0.4 = 40%

So, 40% is the answer.

What is the probability that the first card is a kingking and the second card is a kingking if the sampling is done with replac
IRINA_888 [86]
You want to draw 2 kings from a 52 card deck. And you do it with replacement.
There are 4 kings in a standard deck. The probability of getting one of them is
4/52 on the first draw.

For the second draw the probability is the same.
4/52

The probability for both happening is
(4/52)*(4/52) = (1/13)*(1/13) = 1/169 = 0.001597

The true statements about the triangles RST and DEF are: (a), (d) and (e)

<h3>How to determine the true statements?</h3>

The statement ΔRST ≅ ΔDEF means that the triangles RST and DEF are congruent.

This above implies that:

  • The triangles can be mapped onto each other by rigid transformations such as reflection, translation and rotation
  • The transformation does not include dilation
  • Corresponding sides are congruent

The above means that the possible true statements are: (a), (d) and (e)

For what value of c will this function have one zero?<br> f(x) = X^2 +c
Phoenix [80]
X² + c is actually a quadratic function.

And x² + c = 0,  it usually has two zeros which are solutions.

But for when c = 0,

x² + c = 0

x² + 0 = 0

x² = 0

Taking the square root of both sides.

x = 0.  Here it only has one zero.

So the function x² + c,  only has one root for  c = 0.

Which similarity statement is true for the triangles shown?<br><br> - ABC = DEF<br> - ABC = FED
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

I’m pretty sure it’s Triangle ABC is congruent to Triangle DEF.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you rotate Triangle DEF to where the 90 degree angle is on the bottom right, you can the compare the two triangles. You can divide 300/25, 240/20, and 180/15. They all result in 12 meaning they are congruent and similar in that way. (I’m only 90% this is right btw)
