Use the data to find the interquartile range.

Mathematics
1 answer:
Lena [83]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

The Interquartile range is the difference between the Quartile 1 and 3. Those quartiles are the median of the left and right side.

Ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Median = 3, so quartile 1 = median of left side of 3 and quartile 3 = median of right side of 3

First we should organize the data from least to greatest.

38 < 45 < 47 < 50 < 55<u> <</u> 58 < 60 < 64 < 70 < 71

The median is 56.5.

Quartile 1 = 47

Quartile 3 = 64

64-47 = 17

<em>Hope this helps!</em>

A. On a coordinate plane, a curved line with a minimum value of (negative 1, negative 2), crosses the x-axis at (negative 2.5, 0) and (0.5, 0), and the y-axis at (0, negative 1).

B. On a coordinate plane, a curved line with a minimum value of (0, negative 2), crosses the x-axis at (negative 1.5, 0) and (1.5, 0).

C.  On a coordinate plane, a curved line with a maximum value of (0, 2) and a minimum value of (1.5, negative 2.75), crosses the x-axis at (negative 0.6, 0) and (0.6, 0).

D. On a coordinate plane, a curved line with a maximum value of (negative 1.25, 4) and a minimum value of (1.5, negative 3.5), crosses the x-axis at (negative 1.75, 0), (0.75, 0), and (1.75, 0), and crosses the y-axis at (0, 2).

Apologies if I am wrong, I am not great with graphs but I hoped I helped.

Jeans are on sale for 20% off the regular price. Which function would give you the total cost for purchasing a pair of jeans tha
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

0.8X = Final cost

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that jeans are on sale for 20% off the regular price, to determine which function would give you the total cost for purchasing a pair of jeans that costs X dollars, the following calculation must be performed:

1X = Initial cost of the jeans

20% = 0.2

1 - 0.2 = 0.8

0.8X = Final cost
