<span>C) :

A colon here is right to set up the quote from the introduction in the sentence. The lead in shows that the writer is about to provide a specific example, not a quote that continues the flow of the sentence. A colon allows the quote to stand alone from the rest of the sentence as an example.</span>

Everyone help me please!!!!
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

See below

Explanation:

1. Write sentences about the future using will/won't.

(1) Our teacher <u>will</u> ride a bike to school tomorrow.

(2) I <u>will</u> fly in a plane one day.

(3) My gran <u>won't</u> drive a van at the weekend.

(4) My friends and I <u>will</u> catch a bus soon.

(5) I <u>won't</u> sail on a boat next year.

2. Read the <em>Top Gear</em> article. Complete each space with <em>'m, is, are or will/won't</em>.

I'm staying in this evening because my favourite programme is on TV at 8 p.m. Tonight's <em>Top Gear</em> programme 1) <u>is</u> showing a very unusual race. The TV presenters 2) <u>are</u> racing two amazing, expensive vehicles: a Bugatti Veyron, which costs about £880,000, and a Eurofighter Typhoon plane, wich costs £67 million! The car will drive 1.6 kilometers along an airport runway, and then it will turn round and race back. The plane 3) <u>will</u> fly 1.6 kilometres straigh up into the sky and then it 4) <u>will</u> turn around and race back down to Earth!

At top speed, the Veyron will reach about 400 kilometres per hour. The Typhoon 5) <u>will</u> travel at about 2400 kilometres per hour! Which vehicle will win? Nobody knows, but it definitely 6) <u>won't</u> be boring! I 7) <u>'m</u> looking forward to it!

3. Write one to four words to complete the sentences about the article.

I can't see the sentences that you have to complete.

4. Write about what car/transport you will have when you're older. Think about these things:

  • What type of car or transport will you have?
  • What colour will it be?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Will your parents/friends like it?

When I'm older I will have a Jeep (Wrangler). It will be colour black, because I like how it shines in black. Right now it costs about £21,921 but I think it'll be more expensive when I buy it. Everyone will like it!

The paraphrasing mistake that Ania makes is a. She does not restate the ideas in her own words.

<h3>What is paraphrasing?</h3>

Paraphrasing connotes the restatement of a text or passage using different words from the author's.

While the meaning or idea of the paraphrased passage should be retained, the paraphrased expression should employ different words.

<h3>What are some paraphrasing mistakes?</h3>

Some of the paraphrasing mistakes that some writers make include:

  • Rearranging the word order
  • Changing the verb tenses
  • Using synonyms to replace some words
  • Using passive voices instead of active voices
  • Failure to acknowledge the source of the original text.

Thus, the paraphrasing mistake that Ania makes is a. She does not restate the ideas in her own words.

5-8 sentence of a summary of chapter 6 in mice and men
Vladimir [108]

Summary

In the same riverbed where the story began, it is a beautiful, serene late afternoon. A heron stands in a shaded green pool, eating water snakes that glide between its legs. Lennie comes stealing through the undergrowth and kneels by the water to drink. He is proud of himself for remembering to come here to wait for George but soon has two unpleasant visions. His Aunt Clara appears “from out of Lennie’s head” and berates him, speaking in Lennie’s own voice, for not listening to George, for getting himself into trouble, and for causing so many problems for his only friend. Then a gigantic rabbit appears to him, also speaking in Lennie’s own voice, and tells him that George will probably beat him and abandon him. Just then, George appears. He is uncommonly quiet and listless. He does not berate Lennie. Even when Lennie himself insists on it, George’s tirade is unconvincing and scripted. He repeats his usual words of reproach without emotion. Lennie makes his usual offer to go away and live in a cave, and George tells him to stay, making Lennie feel comforted and hopeful. Lennie asks him to tell the story of their farm, and George begins, talking about how most men drift along, without any companions, but he and Lennie have one another. The noises of men in the woods come closer, and George tells Lennie to take off his hat and look across the river while he describes their farm. He tells Lennie about the rabbits and promises that nobody will ever be mean to him again. “Le’s do it now,” Lennie says. “Le’s get that place now.” George agrees. He raises Carlson’s gun, which he has removed from his jacket, and shoots Lennie in the back of the head. As Lennie falls to the ground and becomes still, George tosses the gun away and sits down on the riverbank.
