If an hour is x, you make 5x dollars at bob's burgers and 8.5x dollars at sammy's. As 49.5 and 25 are base values, we get 49.5+5x=25+8.5x. Subtracting 5x and 25 from both sides, we get 24.5=3.5x and dividing by 3, we get 24.5/3.5=x=7 hours
