In order to achieve the Octet rule and stability, the atom will lose or gain electron so that only eight electrons will be in the shell. These elements are placed in the group 1 or A of the periodic table. The group is comprised of the hydrogen and the alkali metals.

•8 bread slices and 5 cheese slices

2)Cheese is the limiting ingredients:

•6 bread slices and 2 cheese slices

•8 bread slices and 3 cheese slices

•4 bread slices and 1 cheese slice

3)There are no limiting ingredient

•6 bread slices and 3 cheese slices

•2 bread slices and 1 cheese slice

Explanation:

In a certain chemical reaction,if one of the reactant is present in small amount, the reaction stops abruptly once all of that reactant is used up.This reactant is called a limiting reagent. While the other ractant is called the excess reagent. Similarly, in the above mentioned question, the ingredient that was limiting was less in number while the other ingredient was in excess.
