Remember some simple log rules

log(a)+log(b)=log(ab)
and
log(a)-log(b)=log(\frac{a}{b})

work from left to right

log(12)-log(4)+log(5)=
log(\frac{12}{4})+log(5)=
log(3)+log(5)=
log(3*5)=
log(15)

The product of 6 and the quantity 9 more then the number x is 253
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

6(x+9)=253

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The algebraic expression of the phrase"The product of 6 and the quantity 9 more then the number x is 253" is equal to the number 6 multiplied by the sum of x and 9 and this result is equal to 253

so

6(x+9)=253

solve for x

6x+54=253

6x=253-54

6x=199

x=199/6

PLEASE HELP I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

step by step

Step-by-step explanation:

where

r = radius

h= height

Area of a cylinder = 2πrh+2πr^2

Area of a cylinder = 2π8(3)+2π8^2

Area of a cylinder = 176π = 552.92

Area of a hemisphere= 3r2π

Area of a hemisphere= 3(2)2π

Area of a hemisphere= 12π = 37.699111843

Area of the cylinder in this problem

176π - 12π = 164π

How do you find the missing height of a triangle?
g100num [7]

Answer:

Use the Pythagorean theorem

Step-by-step explanation:

The pythagorean theorem is a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2} where a is a height, b is a height, and c is the hypotenuse, which is the longest side of a triangle. For example, if the triangle has two side with lengths of three and four we would put them into the equation to get:

3^{2} +4^{2} =c^{2}

Simplify the equation to get:

9+16=c^2

Add 16 and 9 to get 25 and take the square root of both sides:

\sqrt{25} =c

The sqrt of 25 is 5. Therefore, the length of the hypotenuse, or c, is 5.
