The solution for Area, A is 28.26 square units, if pi-symbol=3.14 and radius r = 3, A=PIrSquared.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given is,

                pi - \pi = 3.14

                       r = 3

                      A = PIrSquared...................................(1)

Step:1

               Formula for area of circle is,

                         Area, a = \pi r^{2}......................................(2)

               Equation (1) and Equation (2) both are same, it is used to calculate area of circle.

               From given,

                        radius, r = 3

               Substitute the value of radius in equation,

                                     = \pi (3^{2})

                                     = \pi × 9

                                     = 3.14 × 9                  (∵ \pi =3.14)

                                     = 28.26

                        Area, a = 28.26 square units

Result:

      The solution for Area, A is 28.26 square units, if pi-symbol=3.14 and radius r = 3, A=PIrSquared.

3.5x - 11 = 20.5 what does x equal?
stepan [7]

Answer:

x=9

Step-by-step explanation:

3.5x - 11 = 20.5

Add 11 to each side

3.5x - 11+11 = 20.5+11

3.5x = 31.5

Divide each side by 3.5x

3.5x/3.5 = 31.5/3.5

x =9

A skier is trying to decide whether or not to buy a season ski pass. A daily pass costs $65. A season pass costs $400. The skier
Vlad [161]
Let x be the number of days.

Daily pass:
65x + 30x
95x

Season pass:
400 + 30x

95x > 400 + 30x
65x > 400
x > 6.15

The number of days can't be 6.15, so you must round. You can't go down because then the price will be more expensive, so you have to round up.

It would take 7 days until the season pass is less expensive than the daily pass.
----------------------
You can check this by plugging in the x.

95x > 400 + 30x
95(7) > 400 + 30(7)
665 > 400 + 210
665 > 600
The daily pass is more expensive than the season pass.
