I think that they teach their kids that their intentions were good... but like the U.S.. when we teach about our own history.. for example about the atomic bomb.. we teach it saying that we as a country made a mistake.. and what we did was truly wrong and out of hand.. I think or at least hope that Germany does the same about some of the stuff they have done like the Holocaust.. I am sure that they teach the students that during that time frame... Germany was a mess and followed a corrupted leader.
