Ok so lets start with the 5 dozen there are 12 eggs in one dozen so we do 12*5 which gives us 60 and then we figure out what 3/4 of 12 is that sounds confusing the way i typed it. an example is make four piles each evenly numbered so four piles of three so take three of those piles which gives you the number nine so 60 + 9 gives you 69 so Jesse has 69 eggs.

Wages. JoAnn works in the publicity office at the state university. She is paid $10 an hour for the first 35 hours she works eac
rosijanka [135]

Since Joann receives $10 per hour for the first 35 hours, so she receives $350 (35 times $10) before she starts receiving extra hours.

Since she received $515, we know that she worked extra hours.

Let's use the variable x to represent the number of extra hours worked.

So we can write the following equation for the total payment received:

\begin{gathered} 10\cdot35+15\cdot x=515 \\ 350+15x=515 \\ 15x=515-350 \\ 15x=165 \\ x=11 \end{gathered}

She worked 11 extra hours. Adding this to the 35 regular hours, so she worked for 46 hours.

N76 [4]

Answer:

(a) x^2-2x=x \times (x+2) \\\\(b) 6x^2+12x=2\times 3 \times x \times ( x + 2) \\\\(c) 3x^3 - 9x=3\times x \times (x^2 -3) \\\\(d) 4x^2 +28 x^3 = 2 \times 2 \times x \times x \times ( 1+ 7x)

Step-by-step explanation:

To factorize, at first, do factorize all the terms then take the common terms out.

(a) x^2-2x

This can be written as

x^2-2x= x\times x + 2 \times x

Now, taking x commom from both the terms.

x^2-2x=x \times (x+2)

(b) 6x^2+12x

=2\times 3 \times x\times x + 2\times 2 \times 3 \times x

Now, taking 2\times 3\times x common from both the terms, we have

6x^2+12x=2\times 3 \times x \times ( x + 2)

This is the required factorization.

(c) 3x^3 - 9x \\\\

= 3 \times x \times x \times - 9\times x \\\\ 3x^3 - 9x=3\times x \times (x^2 -3)

This is the required factorization.

(d) 4x^2 +28 x^3

= 2 \times 2 \times x \times x + 2 \times 2 \times 7 \times x \times x \times x \\\\4x^2 +28 x^3 = 2 \times 2 \times x \times x \times ( 1+ 7x)

This is the required factorization.
