Were medieval manors nearly self sufficient
lina2011 [118]
This mostly depended on the fertility of the soil nearby the manor, the amount of serfs a lord had and the trade that he had set up with other manors. The reason for this is that if a manor had fertile soil, the lord had set up ample trade between manors, and therewere enough serfs to work on the land, they were pretty much self-suficient. However, if these things were lacking, then self-sufficiency was not necessarily achieved.

What role can disciplines like archaeology and anthropology play in the historical thinking process?
mariarad [96]
Each of these is basically an independent science, although specialists in one field frequently consult and cooperate with scholars in the other. Physical anthropology is generally classified as a natural science, while cultural anthropology is considered a social science. I hope this helps.

Constantine was the first Roman emperor to embrace Christianity (1), and he issued an edict that protected Christians (2). This
Musya8 [376]

The correct answer is that numbers 1, 2 and 3 are accurate and number 4 needs revision. The Edict  issued by the emperor Constantine didn´t fail because it protected and preserved the freedom of worship for the Christians and even other forms of beliefs. The Concil of Trent occured much later as the Protestant Reform was a threat to the Roman Catholic Church.

Which of these countries was divided between democratic and communist occupies following world war ll
vredina [299]
The country you are referring to is Germany. After World War II, Germany is split up into 4 demilitarized zones. Three of them are controlled by democratic countries. These three countries are the United States, France, and Great Britain. The other demilitarized zone is occupied by the Soviet Union, which is a communist country during this era. These four countries also split up the capital of Berlin, with the US, France, and Great Britain controlling the western portion and the Soviet Union controlling East Berlin.
