Species B would need about 60% more glucose to generate the same amount of ATP as species A. This is because molecular oxygen is a highly oxidizing agent and therefore, is an excellent electron acceptor compared to other less-oxidizing substances such as sulfate, nitrate or fumarate.

Sidana [21]
The main purpose of seeds is to carry out reproduction so that the plants can perpetuate themselves. After pollination and Fertilization the seed formed has the capacity to germinate into an adult plant over time. It has all the necessary nutrients and food sources required for a plant to germinate and are also modified for different species to allow for further dispersal so the plant can spread more easily to better growth conditions.
