So they plan to sell each shirt at 8 bucks, thus, hmmm let's say they sell "x" shirts, then the Revenue is 8*x, or 8x, the income from the sales.

now, to make each, they need to pay the shirt maker 63 bucks first and 3.50 for each shirt she makes, so, if they sell "x" shirts, the Cost is 63 + 3.50x.

now, Profit, is just the surplus made from the sales after you remove all your expenses for making the sales, namely, Revenue - Costs.

the point right before Profit, the point at which Revenue is the same as Costs, namely, you're not making any profit, but you're not losing any money either, is the break-even point. And that happens, yes, you guessed it, when Revenue = Costs.

8x = 63 + 3.5x

and fairly sure you know how much that is.

STOP SHOUTING, WHOSE SHOUTING, I'M NOTTTTT

so

shirts are being sold 8 doolars each
shirts cost 3.5 to make plus initial fee of 63

how much to make a profit

ok, amount they make=cost per shirt times number of shirts=8 times x where x is number of shirts of 8x

cost he needs to pay=3.5x+63

when will his profit be more than what he's paying

8x>3.5x+63
solve
mnus 3.5x both sides
4.5x>63
divide both sides by 4.5
x>14

needs to sell at least 14 shirts
hmm, ok, 14 is the answer then

C is answer

A. Females taking Geometry

Row 1 Column 2 tells us that 53 females are taking geometry. 53/310 is about 17%.

B. Females taking Algebra II.

Row 1 Colume 3 tells us that 62 females are taking Algebra II. 62/310 is 20%.

What is box and whiskers plot?

Box plot is the way of representation of data which gives the graphical image of the data set to understand better. In this the data is represented with the help of quartile.

 • A.The difference in the median grade-

The median of first test is 60 while the second test is 80. Thus, the difference is,

d=80-60\\d=20

 • B. Compare the percent of students who got at least a 60 on the original test to those that got at least a 60 on the retake.

The student, who got at least 60 in first test, falls in the second half of the plot. Thus, the 50% of students got atleast 60% marks. In the retake test, all 100% student got at least 60 on test.

 • C. If the students need a 65 in order to pass the test, how many more passed the retake?

In the first test 1/4 are passed while in second test 3/4 students are passed and got the marks 65 or more than this, Thus the number of student pass more in this test,

n=(\dfrac{3}{4}-\dfrac{1}{2})\times 32\\n=8

Thus, the number of student more passed the retake, when the students need a 65 in order to pass the test is 8.
