Answer:

x=2.1

Step-by-step explanation:

z=\frac{y}{x}

we are given with values z = 4.0 and y = 8.4

Substitute the given values in the equation and solve for x

Plug in 4.0 for z  and 8.4 for y in the equation

z=\frac{y}{x}

4.0=\frac{8.4}{x}

multiply x on both sides

4.0x=8.4

divide both sides by 4.0

x=\frac{8.4}{4.0}=2.1

x=2.1

Use the pencil,plot the point (3 1/2, 2 3/4)
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

The diagram of the plotting point \left(3\frac{1}{2},\:2\frac{3}{4}\right)=\left(3.5,\:2.75\right) is attached below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the points

\left(3\frac{1}{2},\:2\frac{3}{4}\right)

as

3\frac{1}{2}=\frac{7}{2}=3.5

2\frac{3}{4}=\frac{11}{4}=2.75

so the point can be visualized as:

\left(3\frac{1}{2},\:2\frac{3}{4}\right)=\left(3.5,\:2.75\right)

Now, we can check the point x = 3.5, and determine the corresponding value y = 2.75 and plot the point at the location (x, y) = (3.5, 2.75)

The diagram of the plotting point \left(3\frac{1}{2},\:2\frac{3}{4}\right)=\left(3.5,\:2.75\right) is attached below.

How to work -1x-2y=-13 x-2y=11 equation by substitution
Norma-Jean [14]
Well if you're wanting to use substitution, you first have to end up with one term on either side of the equation. Use the second one as it's easiest.

So: x-2y=11, so find -2y as there is a -2y in the first equation.
then that becomes -2y=11-x. then sub that into equation 1, and you get:

-x+11-x=-13, which equals to -2x+11=-13, which is -2x=-24, so therefore

x=12. then chuck the x into any of the equations to find what y equals.

hope this helps!

A rectangular solid measures 5 cm long by 3 cm wide by 1 cm high. What is the surface-area-to-volume ratio
siniylev [52]

Answer:

Answer below

Step-by-step explanation:

Yo uneed to find the Area/volume

The area of the rectangle is 2×(5cm×1cm)+2(3cm×1cm)+2(5cm×3cm)=10cm+6cm+30cm=36cm^2

Volume=5cm×3cm×1cm=15cm^3

Ratio: 36cm^2/15cm^3=12cm^2/5cm^3

A weed called the raindrop vine is known for growing at a very fast rate. It can grow up to 0.75 feet per day. How fast in inche
jarptica [38.1K]

1 foot = 12 inches.

0.75 feet x 12 inches per foot = 9 inches per day.

1 day = 24 hours.

9 inches /  24 hours = 0.375 inches per hour ( 3/8 inch per hour)

Not sure if you need a decimal or fraction for an answer so I provided both.
