Under the Tang Dynasty in the eighth and ninth centuries, trade along the Silk Road reached its height. Describe the importance of the Silk Road in the exchange of goods and ideas during this time. Your description should include examples of some of the goods and ideas that moved along the Silk Road and the direction in which they traveled.

The silk road was a great impact and contributed not just the trading of silk but other goods like grapes clover, walnuts, carrots, pepper, beans, spinach, rare animals, medicinal herbs, flavoring and jewelry, and Chinese porcelains. It was also considered a cultural bridge were many traditions and religions were introduced. They mostly traveled into the western regions.
