Given:
Irregular Shape:
Semi-circle and rectangle:

Area of a rectangle = l * w
Area of a semi-circle = (π r²)/2

Area of rectangle = 8 cm * 5 cm = 40cm²
Area of a semi-circle = (3.14 (4²))/2 = (3.14*16)/2 = 50.24/2 = 25.12cm²
4² is taken from diameter of 8cm divided by 2 to get the radius.

Total area = 40 cm² + 25.12 cm² = 65.12 cm²

Fair rickets for 2 adults and 3 children cost $34. An adult ticket costs $2 more than a child ticket. What is the price of an ad
Studentka2010 [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

An adult ticket costs $2 more than a child ticket

Let x and (x + $2)represent the cost of the child and adult ticket respectively

2(x+ $2) + 3x = $34

now solving for x

2x+ $4 + 3x = $34

       5x = $30

x = $6 , the cost of the child ticket.

the cost of adult ticket $6+2=$8

D

using the double - angle identity

cos (2A) = cos² A - sin² A = 2cos² A - 1 = 1 - 2sin² A

the right side = 1 - 2sin² (112.5° ) with A = 22.5°

hence 2A = 2 × 22.5° = 45°

thus cos 45° = 1 - 2sin² ( 22.5°)

MAXImum [283]

Step-by-step explanation:

BC is the bisector of \angle ABQ

\therefore \angle ABC \cong \angle CBQ..(1)\\\angle CBQ \cong \angle CAB..(2) \\(\angle 's\: in \: alternate\: segments) \\

From equations (1) & (2)

\angle ABC \cong \angle CAB\\\therefore AC = BC

(Because sides opposite to equal angles are equal)

Hence Proved

A theater sells tickets for a concert . Tickets for lower level sells for $35 each , tickets for upper level sell for $25 each .
arlik [135]
150 lower level
200 upper level

Let x = lower level and y = upper level. You can then set up an equation for cost as:

35x + 25y = 10,250

and the equation for total tickets as:

x + y = 350.

Solve using any method.
