I think the answer is a cylinder which is form by the rotation line in the square. And for the approximate circumference of the cylinder is about 50 units. There is another formula for the circumference that I used to get that answer it is C= (pi)d. Which means you just need to multiply pi and the diameter.

Answer:

The approximate circumference of the base = 25.12 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of the square = 32 units

Formula for finding the perimeter of square is given by : 4 × side

⇒ 4 × side = 32

⇒ side = 8 units

The shape created by the rotating the square about a line is circle and its diameter is equal to the side of the square.

Diameter of the circle obtained by rotating = 8 units

So, radius = 4 units

Circumference of a circle, C = 2πr

⇒ C = 2 × 3.14 × 4

⇒ C = 25.12 units

Hence, the approximate circumference of the base = 25.12 units
