In a relationship between men and women, there are a lot of beliefs and traditions and it differs from culture to culture. While it is different, here are some of the beliefs:
1) each must be committed to each other
2) labels are a must
3) longevity of a relationship must be celebrated

The crisis in East Timor is caused by the independence movement imitated by the people in East Timor. They wanted to be separated form Indonesia. But the government of Indonesia did not allowed. This resulted in rebellious movement that led to massive killing of East Timor's citizens by Indonesian military and fellow citizens who did not want to separate from Indonesia.

A UN-authorized force eventually intervene and prevented further violence to occurs. The United Nations also mediate the conflict and eventually giving the Independence to East Timor.
