a white-tailed deer can sprint at speeds up to 30 miles per hour. American bison can run at speeds up to 3,520 per minute. Which
guajiro [1.7K]
For the answer to the question above,
In 1 minute, bison runs 3520 feet
In 60 minutes, the bison would run
3520*60 feet
211200 feet per hour.
These are equivalent to;
40 miles per hour since 1 mile is equivalent to 5280 feet.
The bison is faster by 10 miles per hour
Then If you convert the bison's speed to mph you get that it can run at speeds up to 40 mph.

I got this by seeing how many feet that they run in one hour so 3520 x 60 is 211200 which divided by 5280 is 40 mph.

I hope my answer helped.

Explain why f(x)=1/(x-3)^3 is not continuous at x=3
Bingel [31]
F(x)=1/(x-3)^3

The denominator can't be equal to zero (we can't divide by zero), then:
(x-3)^3 different 0
cubic root both sides:
cubic root [ (x-3)^3 ] different cubic root (0)
x-3 different 0
Adding 3 both sides:
x-3+3 different 0+3
x different 3

Then the function f is not defined at x=3

Answer: Option <span>b) f is not defined at x= 3</span>

The bike store marks up the wholesale cost of all of the bikes they sell by 30%. Andre wants to buy a bike that has a price tag
garik1379 [7]

Answer: The wholesale cost of this bike is $96.15.

Andre will pay after discount is $100.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Price tag of a bike that Andre wants to buy = $125

The bike store marks up the whole sale price of all the bikes by 30%

So, the wholesale cost of this bike <em>('</em><em>x'say</em><em>)</em> will be given as

\frac{100+30}{100}\times x=\$125\\\\\frac{130}{100}\times x=\$125\\\\x=\frac{100}{130}\times 125\\\\x=\$96.15

So, the wholesale cost of this bike is $96.15.

if the bike is discounted by 20%,

then Andre will pay is given by

\frac{100-20}{100}\times 125\\\\=\frac{80}{100}\times 125\\\\=\frac{10000}{100}\\\\=\$100

So, Andre will pay after discount is $100.
