You can calculate the angle "x" of the right triangle (It has a angle of 90°) as follows:

 Sin(x)^-1=opposite leg/hypotenuse

 The opposite leg is 5 and  the hypotenuse is 14

 2. Let's substitute in the formula:
 Sin(x)^-1=opposite leg/hypotenuse
 Sin(x)^-1=5/14
 x=21°
 Then, the answer is: The value of x is 21°

I DONT UNDERSTAND PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY CUZ I WANNA UNDERSTAND
Scilla [17]

Answer:

17% off $35

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason I say 17% off $35 is better price is because you get $5.95 off the original price.

So how did you do it they wonder, well in order to find out how much we are going to be taking off of a number as a percentage we have to turn 17% and 12% into a decimal by multiplying 17% and 12% by 100.

17% * 100 = 0.17

12% * 100 = 0.12

Now we multiply 0.12 by $32 and 0.17 by $35 in order to find out how much money you are saving:

0.12 * $32 = $3.84

0.17 * $35 = $5.95

So since $5.59 is bigger than $3.84 you have your answer 17% off $35 is a better price.

A boat attempts to sail due east at 15km/h, but is taken off course by a current of 5 km/h flowing in the southwest direction. F
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

Resultant speed = 12 km/h.

Bearing is 107.14 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

This can be represented by a triangle of velocities with lengths 15 and 5 with the included angle = 45 degrees.

To find the velocity of the resultant  we use cosine rule:

v^2 = 15^2 + 5^2 - 2*5*15cos 45

v^2 = 143.934

v = 12.0 km/h to the nearest tenth.

To find the bearing we use the sine rule to find the angle down from due east>

12 / sin 45 = 5/ sin x

sin x =  5 sin 45 / 12 = 0.2946278

x = 17.14 degrees.

Bearing is therefore 90 + 17.14 = 107.14 degrees.

Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

yearly cost for housing expenses = $11,400, average monthly cost for food = $650

yearly clothing cost = $900,

average monthly cost for transportation= $500,

Yearly cost for insurance & medical= $14,400

yearly cost for emergency fund = $600

average monthly college saving = $50

Step-by-step explanation:

Yearly housing = monthly cost * 12 = 950 * 12 = 11400

Food, monthly = 7800 /12 = 650

Clothing, yearly = 75 * 12 = $900

Monthly transport = 6000 / 12 = $500

Insurance and medical = 1200*12 =14400

Emergency fund = $50 * 12 = $600

College saving = $600 / 12 = $50
