Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

You should know your interior/ exterior angles as well as vertical angles and corresponding angles for this.  if that's unfamiliar I can explain .

10)  You have two parallel sides, AB and DC.  If you pretend that they went on forever like lines, you would have BC as the transversal.  With this you would get angles B and C as interior angles.  Specifically consecutive interior angles, so they should add up to 180.  With that you solve x + x - 50 = 180.  Once you find x angles B and C will be easy.

Once you find those two angles you need to know quadrilaterals have an angle sum of 360, and since you will then know three of the angles, since you know angle D is 90, you will be able to find angle A with 90 - (B + C + D).  A hint though, you already know B + C is 180 and D is 90.

11)  You can use the same kind of thinking as 10 here.  AB or DC will be the transversal here.  Witht hat you know 5x + 4x = 180.  Do let me know if there's something you don't understand.

12)  here you can clearly see x+y = 180, since together they make a straight line.  then we have another transversal going through two parallel lines.  Not labeled, but the line with the arrows at either end is the transversal we will be using.  With this we see the angle with measure x and the angle with measure 3y are corresponding angles.  So x = 3y.  Well if x = 3y then x+y = 3y + y = 4y = 180.  This way you can find y and then plug that in to find x.

Hopefully I explained that clearly enough, but again, let me know if I did not.

How many tickets were sold after June 15th?
AysviL [449]

Answer: About 45.

Step-by-step explanation: There's always a pattern in these kinds of questions, you can see for 9th to 13th August, the number has always been  between 20 to 40. And since on 13th August the graph is on a rise again, it would be around 45. 90 is just not realistic considering there's only an increase of around 5-10 tickets every day.

The ratio of yellow blue and red balloons is 2:3:2 respectively. If the total number is 28 is many yellow balloons are there
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of yellow balloons to the total is ...

... 2:(2+3+2) = 2/7

This fraction of 28 balloons is ...

... (2/7)·28 = 56/7 = 8 . . . . yellow balloons

What are the real and complex solutions of the polynomial equation X^3-216=0
vazorg [7]

Answer:

6,\ -3+3\sqrt{3}i,\ -3-3\sqrt{3}i

Step-by-step explanation:

Factor the equation x^3-216=0 using formula for difference of the cubes:

x^3-216=(x-6)(x^2+6x+36),

then

x-6=0\ or\ x^2+6x+36=0.

1. The equation x-6=0 has real solution x=6.

2. The equation x^2+6x+36=0 has negative discriminant D=6^2-4\cdot 36=36-144=-108, then it has two complex solutions

x_{1,2}=\dfrac{-6\pm 6\sqrt{3}i}{2}=-3\pm3\sqrt{3}i.

Please answer both questions and show all work with explanations :) thank you soo much...
torisob [31]

Answer:

1) 109 cm

2) 120 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangle is a quadrilateral with opposite sides the same length and four (4) right angles. The diagonal, together with two adjacent sides, forms a right triangle. The relationship between side lengths and the diagonal length is given by the Pythagorean theorem. If sides are "a" and "b" and the diagonal is "c", that theorem tells you ...

... c² = a² + b²

1) c² = (60 cm)² + (91 cm)² = 11881 cm²

... c = √11881 cm = 109 cm

2) The perimeter is double the sum of adjacent side lengths, so ...

... 2(a+b) = 46 in

... a + b = 23 in . . . . . divide by 2

The Pythagorean theorem tells you

... a² + b² = (17 in)²

Squaring the equation from the perimeter relation gives ...

... (a + b)² = (23 in)² = a² + 2ab + b²

Subtracting a² + b², we have

... (a² +2ab +b²) - (a² + b²) = (23 in)² -(17 in)²

... 2ab = (529 -289) in² = 240 in² . . . . . simplify

... 240 in²/2 = ab = 120 in² . . . . . area is the product of length and width

_____

We could solve the two equations for a and b to find that there are two possible solutions: (a, b) = (8, 15) or (15, 8). Either way, ab = 8·15 = 120.
