Correct answer: A). Invasive species

An invasive species are those species that are not native to the ecosystem, but when introduced it can cause harm to the environment, economy or even human health. Invasive species may include plant, insect, fungus, fish, bacteria or eggs or seeds of an organism.

Zebra mussels are an invasive species that are known to consume a huge amount of plankton, as a result of that, they compete with fish and other aquatic life for food and they also clog pipes by forming colonies in it and disturb the whole aquatic ecosystem.

10. Which is(are) correct regarding DNA?
nata0808 [166]

Answer: D - all of the above

Explanation:

Cytosine (C) is paired with Guanine (G) according to the base pair rule just as Adenine (A) is paired with Thymine (T).

The sugar in DNA is deoxyribose which is a modified form of ribose(also sugar). It simply is a ribose sugar which has lost an oxygen atom hence “deoxyribose”. Deoxyribose is one of the components that make up the DNA backbone.

Hydrogen bonds exist between bases. The importance of these hydrogen bonds is to hold the complementary strands of DNA together.

Water has the ability to dissolve salts and carry dissolved carbon dioxide. How does
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Explanation:

In biology, homeostasis is the state of steady internal, physical, and chemical conditions maintained by living systems. This is the condition of optimal functioning for the organism and includes many variables, such as body temperature and fluid balance, being kept within certain pre-set limits (homeostatic range). Other variables include the pH of extracellular fluid, the concentrations of sodium, potassium and calcium ions, as well as that of the blood sugar level, and these need to be regulated despite changes in the environment, diet, or level of activity. Each of these variables is controlled by one or more regulators or homeostatic mechanisms, which together maintain life.

Which plate boundaries and movements most commonly create earthquakes? Explain how earthquakes can be created by plate tectonics
Bad White [126]
Unique or damaging plate edges cause volcanoes. As the more thick plate subducts, it will dissolve at profundity and the water is driven off, will bring down the liquefying purpose of the overlying mantle wedge, this will make a kind of magma. Volcanic Island Arcs are framed at maritime dangerous plate edges. The hot, light magma, is less thick that the encompassing rock so will ascend to the surface, and will gather underneath the plate that hasn't been subducted. It will then, under expanded weight eject under the ocean. More than thousands of a great many years, it will continue emitting, to shape islands.
