I choose letter d. a law which outlaws price discrimination. Monopolies are known to manipulate prices to increase their profit. This is especially true in price discrimination where they sell at different prices to different buyers just to make more.

Answer:

To the question of: to which of the following can destroy a monopoly, the correct answer is: A: Technology.

Explanation:

When thinking about this answer, many go to choose those actions taken by governments in order to control, or break up, the power of monopoly by companies. However, the correct answer is that technology, has become one of the greater limitations for monopolies. When thought logically, this seems unreal, as many believe that it is larger corporations, which form monopolies, who have the most access to the best technology. And this may be true. But as with everything, there is only so much advanced technology that you can access, and this is true for monopolies as well. When this limit is reached, other smaller companies slowly catch up to the bigger ones and thus, are able to establish a competition, breaking the essence of monopoly. Technology has opened up the possiblity for smaller, less powerful businesses to insert themselves as competition for corporations who form monopolies.

vova2212 [387]

Answer: B) False

Explanation:

Reporting bias happens when a reporter leaves a subjective mark on the news report, choosing to reveal only the information which would serve his/her purpose.

In this case, the local college professor was simply dissatisfied with the way the newspaper story was written and how the journalist put the information together. Tyler just told the journalist about the astrological event and they didn't create a story with reporting bias by eliminating information or trying to give a different meaning to certain events.

Suppose you were a participant in the redevelopment of the social readjustment rating scale. You would have been asked to?
GalinKa [24]

If I had taken part in the redevelopment of the social readjustment rating scale, I would have been asked to estimate the amount of readjustment required for various life changes.

The Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRRS) was developed by Thomas Holmes and Richard Rahe to measure stress by allocating a number of life change units to life events, both positive and negative, that typically necessitate some adjustment.

The Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRRS) has been used in hundreds of studies to provide researchers with a simple, easy-to-administer way of assessing the amount of stress in people's lives. Despite its widespread use, the scale has been criticised.
