These two battles discouraged the confederacy and showed that the war was almost over. Soon after the confederacy surrendered because they could no longer fight the war.

The battle of Gettysburg was one of the most horrifying battles to take place. Battle Of Chickamauga was also a turning point. I believe that although Gettysburg far more deadly in the idea of numbers, Chickamauga showed the South that they could no longer continue this bloodly war.
