The answers to this question are oxygen and chloride ions. In this chemical reaction, two proccesses are involved: oxidation and reduction.Oxidizing agents found in water can react with lead pipes leading to the contamination of supply. Lead dissolves with the water and does not stick with the pipe.And also, Flint water has high concentrations of chlorine. This further accelerated the corrosion of pipes.

Describe how you would use a calorimeter to determine the specific heat capacity of a metal
vovikov84 [41]
My only guess is obtain a metal and heat it in a boiling water bath (of known temperature) this will be your initial temperature. Now obtain a calorimeter cup with water of known temperature as well. Place the metal into the calorimeter cup and record the temperature after 5 minutes. You now have delta T, mass of the metal, and Q. Solve for C.

Hope this helps xox :)

what is a photoelectric?explain the terms ground state and excited state with the help of labelled diagram
brilliants [131]

Answer: Photoelectric is characterized by or involving the emission of electrons from a surface by the action of light.

Photoelectric effect is the emission of electrons when a radiation of frequency higher than the threshold frequency falls on the surface of an element. The substance which undergoes photoelectric effect is called as photoelectric.

Ground state is the state representing the lowest energy state.

Excited state is the state which represents a high energy state.

An electron in ground state absorbs energy to move to the excited state.

A marble is L 1.32 W 1.32 H 1.32, what is the volume? Show your work
cupoosta [38]

The volume of the marble is 2.3 cube units.

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

 • Length (L) = 1.32
 • Width (W) = 1.32
 • Height (H) = 1.32
 • Volume (V) =?

The volume of the marble can be obtained as follow:

V = L × W × H

V = 1.32 × 1.32 × 1.32

V = 2.3 cube units

Thus, the volume of the marble is 2.3 cube units.
