You would times 2 by 9a because 9a-7 is in parenthesis and when it’s in parenthesis you do it first then you times 2 by -7 and get -14. Now you have 18a-14

18a-14 Would be your answer because you are basically distributing which is taking the number on the out side of the parenthesis and multiplying it by all the numbers inside of the parenthesis

-2 degree drop in temp every 1,000 ft airplane climbs in the sky. Temp on ground is 57 degrees. What is temperature when plane r
solong [7]

Answer:

(-1) degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ Temperature drop with the increase in every 1000 ft of height = 2 degrees

∴ Temperature drop in every 1 ft = \frac{2}{1000} degrees

∴ Temperature drop in 29000 ft = \frac{2\times 29000}{1000}

                                                      = 58 degrees

Temperature on ground = 57 degrees

Temperature at 29000 feet = 57 - 58

                                               = -1 degrees

Therefore, temperature at 29000 feet is -1 degrees.

If the price of an object dropped 75% down to $85.99 what was the original price?
Serggg [28]
If the price of an object drastically dropped 75%, then the dropped price is equal to 25% of the original price. That means that to find the original price, we have to multiply by the reciprocal of 25% (4). The original price would be $85.99 * 4 which is $343.96.

julia-pushkina [17]

Answer:

a: 16807

b: 0.0000595

Step-by-step explanation:

(a): We have 7 possibilities of numbers, and we need to choose 5 numbers that can repeat. So, for each of the 5 numbers, we have 7 possibilities. To determine how many codes are possible, we just need to multiply the number of possibilities of each of the 5 numbers, so we have 7x7x7x7x7, or 7^5, which is 16807 possibilities.

(b): to put the correct code in the first try, we need to find the exact combination (just one combination) among these 16807 possibilities, so the probability is 1/16807, which is 0.0000595, or 0.00595%.
