Identify bases in the bottom strand that can be transcribed into start and stop codons. write the mrna sequence (in the form of

triplets, for example, ggg-aaa-ccc) that would be transcribed between start and stop codons if the bottom strand served as the template for rna polymerase.

Silent mutations can occur because of the redundancy of the genetic code. For example, the codons CCG and CCU are both translated from mRNA as proline (Pro). So a change in the template strand of the DNA from 3′-GGC to 3′-GGA (a mutation from C to A) will not cause any change in amino acid sequence.

Frame-shift mutations result from the insertion or deletion of one or as valine (Val).

Nonsense mutations result in a premature stop codon. For example, the codon UGG is translated as the amino acid tryptophan (Trp). A DNA point mutation could convert this to the stop codon UAG, which acts as a translation termination signal.

The mRNA sequence in the form of codons is 5’-AUG CCC GUU UGG AGA UCG GGU UAC AGC-3’.

Further Explanation:

In TRANSLATION processes, mRNA is converted to protein. To translate mRNA it goes under A codon different processing before translating into protein mainly in eukaryotes. Transfer ribonucleic acid is a kind of RNA which helps in decoding a messenger RNA sequence into a specific protein.

Codon is mainly present on the mRNA molecule and anti-codon is present on the tRNA molecule. Codon is actually a sequence of three nucleotides, which specifies to each amino acid in the chain of polypeptide.

The DNA sequence is

• 5’T T G A A A T G C C C G T T T G G A G A T C G G G T T A C A G C T A G 3’

• 3’A A C T T T A C G G G C A A A C C T C T A G C C C A A T G T C G A T C 5’

The bottom strand of a DNA sequence acts as a template strand for the mRNA synthesis. So the sequence of the newly synthesized mRNA is:

• 5’U U G A A A U G C C C G U U U G G A G A U C G G G U U A C A G C U A G 3’

The sequence of mRNA sequence in the form of codon is given below. We are ignoring UUG AA sequence because there is no start codon in this region. The start codon is AUG and stops codon is UAG in this sequence.

5’ AUG CCC GUU UGG AGA UCG GGU UAC AGC UAG 3’

The most likely thing that happened with this poor young woman who broke her leg was that she broke hte bone at a very young age and that it fully healed. C

This is so because collagen is a substance that gets secreted at the point of fracture which helps strengthen the bone. Having a higher amount of collagen at the site of a broken bone means that the bone probably healed properly and there was a remainder of collagen to be found.

Describe an example of the scientific method. Include any limitations this method has.
topjm [15]
Due to the need to have completely controlled experiments to test a hypothesis, science can not prove everything. For example, the scientific method cannot alone say that global warming is bad or harmful to the world, as it can only study the objective causes and consequences.
