I take it that you mean y^2 = 36x. The first thing you should try and do is get a graph of the given equation. I've done that for you. Notice a few characteristics.

1. The graph opens left. Usually most graphs like this one open up or down.
2. The graph is open ended on the right. 
3. There is only one open end.
4. The graph is continuous, but it is not a function. (that's a fact -- but not needed in this question).
