Answer: (a) 25,36 and 49

               (b) 64

(a) Square numbers are defined as when a number is multiplied to itself.

So, square numbers are,

1^{2}=1\\2^{2} =4\\3^{2} =9\\4^{2} =16\\5^{2} =25\\6^{2} =36\\7^{2} =49\\8^{2} =64 and so on.

∴ the  square number which are greater than 20 and less than 50 are 25,36 and 49.

(b) Cube numbers are defined as when a number is multiplied to itself three times.

So cube numbers are,

1^{3}=1\\ 2^{3}=8\\3^{3}=27\\4^{3}=64\\5^{3}=125 and so on.

∴ the cube number which is greater than 50 but less than 100 is only 64.
