Answer: 15 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Distance walked by Elena before = 12 miles

After that she walked = \dfrac{1}{4}\times\text{Distance walked by Elena before }

\dfrac{1}{4}\times12\text{ miles}\\\\=3\text{ miles}

Total distance she waled = (Distance walked by Elena before) +  (After that she walked)

i.e. Total distance she waled = 12 miles+ 3 miles

i.e.T otal distance she waled = 15 miles

Hence, she walked 15 miles all together.

Which equation represents a parabola that has a focus of (0 0) and a directrix of y = 2
mel-nik [20]

ANSWER

x ^{2}  =  - 4(y - 1).

EXPLANATION

Since the parabola has the (0, 0) and the directrix at y=2.

The equation is of the form

{(x - h)}^{2}  =  - 4p(y - k)

where (h,k) is the vertex.

The vertex is half way between the directrix and the focus.

The vertex will be at (0,1)

and is the distance from the vertex to the focus which is 1.

{(x - 0)}^{2}  =  - 4(1)(y - 1)

x ^{2}  =  - 4(y - 1)
