3x^4 - 9x^3 - 3x^2 + 6

when ur polynomial has only one variable, which this one does, it only has one variable and it is x, then the degree of the polynomial is the highest exponent. Now if u have more then one variable, then this does not apply.

since ur highest exponent is 4, then this is a 4th degree polynomial

Which value is equivalent to
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

\frac{25}{144}

Step-by-step explanation:

(\frac{7 * 5 * 2}{7 * 3} )^2 * (\frac{5^0}{2^-3})^3 * 2^{-9}

Simplified becomes;

(\frac{10}{3})^2 * 2^3 * \frac{1}{2^9}

Simplifying further gives; \frac{25}{144}

During a sale a dress decreased in price from $80 to $76 what was the percent of decrease
Nesterboy [21]
<span>Well 68/80 as a percent is 85 % .I got that by dividing 68 by 80 and them multiplying by 100. 100-85= 15. So therefore the dress decreased in price by 15%. </span>

Squareroot(y-1) + 3 = y
jek_recluse [69]
Note:xy means x times y and x(y) means the same thing

so
first we get rid of square root then
make the equation equal to zero becaues if
xy=0 then x or/and y=0

squareroot(y-1)+3=y

isolate the squareroot
subtrac 3 from boht sides

squareroot(y-1)=y-3

square both sides (since they are equal, you should be able to square both sides and still make it true)

(squareroot(y-1))^2=(y-3)^2
(y-1)=(y-3)(y-3)
y-1=y^2-6y+9
subtrac y from both sides
-1=y^2-7y+9
add 1 to both sides
0=y^2-7y+10
find what two number multiply to make 10 and add to get -7
the answer is -2 and -5

0=(y-5)(y-2)
therfore
y-5=0
and/or
y-2=0

therefor
y=5 or/and 2 might work
let's try out 2
square root(2-1)+3=2
square root(1)+3=2
1+3=2
false
so 2 doesn't work

let's try 5
squareroot(5-1)+3=5
squareroot(4)+3=5
2+3=5
5=5
true

y=5

Find 8 and one third percent of 144
madam [21]
\bf 8\frac{1}{3}\implies \cfrac{8\cdot 3+1}{3}\implies \cfrac{25}{3}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;now\qquad \cfrac{\frac{25}{3}}{100}\implies \cfrac{\frac{25}{3}}{\frac{100}{1}}\implies \cfrac{25}{3}\cdot \cfrac{1}{100}\implies \cfrac{1}{3\cdot 4}\implies \cfrac{1}{12}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;8\frac{1}{3}\%\ of\ 144\implies  \left( \cfrac{\frac{25}{3}}{100} \right)\cdot 144\implies \cfrac{1}{12}\cdot 144\implies \cfrac{144}{12}\implies 12
