never [62]

The monster sees his family escape their cottage, so he burns it down and goes to live off of the land.

Why does the monster choose to help the family he stays with?

But by the time the monster gets the cottage, the De Laceys have moved out. He sees Felix completing his lease with the landlord, and never sees any of them again.
