Answer:

Steamboat

Explanation:

Robert Fulton was an American artist, mechanical engineer and inventor. He pioneered the use of steam as a means of propelling ships without the steamboat's creator who allowed river trips to be made in both directions.

His work in the area of river navigation was numerous and continuous. It even built 15 vapors and a ferry boat. He created New Orleans, the first steamer in Mississippi, and designed and began the construction of the Fulton First steamer (1912), a powerful war vessel for the defense of New York Harbor during the war, the construction of which was authorized by the United States Congress. He died in New York, United States, on February 24 (1815).

What resources were necessary for villages to and cities?
cluponka [151]
I would say the following:

1) access to food and water. This means that they should be next to water sources (rivers) and fertile ground

2) construction material: wood and/or stones

I would say that a location on a trade route would also be beneficial (and rivers were trade routes: this explains why so many cities were on rivers!)
