Hello MrsMintyMoose,
The sum of 3 angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees.
79+37=116
180-116=64
So your answer would be 64 degrees.

There are always 180° in a triangle, so to work out the missing angle, you add up the angles you have and do 180 - that answer.

So it would be:

79 + 37 = 116

180 - 116 = 64.

y = 64 :)

Use the figure to find the measures of the numbered angles,
Galina-37 [17]

Given:

A figure in which a transversal line t intersect the two parallel lines a and b.

To find:

The measure of the numbered angles.

Solution:

If a transversal line intersect the two parallel lines, then

1. Corresponding angles are equal.

2. Alternate interior angles are equal.

3. Alternate exterior angles are equal.

Now,

m\angle 1+99^\circ=180^\circ              (Linear pair)

m\angle 1=180^\circ-99^\circ

m\angle 1=81^\circ

m\angle 2=99^\circ                         (Vertically opposite angles)

m\angle 3=\angle 1=81^\circ                (Vertically opposite angles)

m\angle 4=99^\circ                         (Corresponding angles)

m\angle 5=\angle 3=81^\circ                (Alternate interior angles)

m\angle 6=99^\circ                         (Alternate exterior angles)

m\angle 7=\angle 3=81^\circ                (Corresponding angles)

Therefore, \angle 1=81^\circ, \angle 2=99^\circ,\angle 3=81^\circ, \angle 4=99^\circ,\angle 5=81^\circ, \angle 6=99^\circ,\angle 7=81^\circ.

Imogene invested $8,000 in a bank account that pays 8 percent simple interest at the end of each year. Her friend invested the s
Natali5045456 [20]

The right system of equations to describe the situation would be on the form:

x1 = 8000 + y1*t

and

x2 = 8000 + y2*t

where x1 and x2 represents the total money of Imogene and her friend respectively at the end of t years.

Now for the value of amount earned, y1 and y2:

y1=8000*0.08

y2=2000*√(t-2)
