Hey!

The first step to solving this inequality is to add 15 to both sides. We do this so as to get the variable ( x ) on its own. This can also be known as simplifying the inequality.

Original Inequality :
x - 15 ≥ 8

New Inequality {Added Plus 15 to Both Sides} :
x - 15 + 15 ≥ 8 + 15

Now we simplify the equation by solving -15 + 15 and 8 + 15.

Old Inequality :
x - 15 + 15 ≥ 8 + 15

New Inequality {Old Inequality Simplified} :
x ≥ 23

Now, that is, in fact, the solution but since I'm not sure which form you need, I've written it in other forms as well.

Solution → x ≥ 23

Interval Notation → [ 23, ∞ )

Below, I have also attached a graph that shows how this inequality should be graphed.

Hope this helps!

What inequality describes the weight range of a single nickel
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

4.806 g ≤ n ≤ 5.194 where n is the mass of a nickle.

Step-by-step explanation:

The problem tells us the weight can vary by .194 g, this means it can be up to .194 lighter and 194 heavier. Well what value is .194 lighter and .194 heavier? 4.806 and 5.194 respectively. So that means a nickle can be anywhere in that range, which tells us the inequality.

Help with my homework please! Will give brainliest
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

a) 72 cm^2

b) 9 cm^2

c) 9 cm^2

d) 60.39 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

a) the the length is 12 cm and the width is 6 cm. Area = lw

A=(12)(6)

A=72 cm^2

b) base equals 3 cm

Height equals 6 cm

A=1/2(3)(6)

A= 9 cm^2

c) base = 3 cm

height=6 cm

Area=1/2(3)(6)

A=9 cm^2

d) to to find the area of the parallelogram, You need to use Pythagorean theorem for one of the triangles.

3^2 + 6^2 = x^2

9 + 36 = x^2

45=x^2

✓45 = ✓x^2

x = 6.71 cm

12-3 = 9

now that you have all the sides for the parallelogram, multiply 6.71 times 9 to get the area.

A= 60.39 cm^2
