Which type of front occurs when cold air and warm air are next to eachother, but are at a stand still?

Biology

Tresset [83]3 years ago

The answer is; B

In such kind of a front, of the two air masses that have met, neither is strong enough to displace the other. Therefore, the front persists in the same area for an extended period of time. This is unlike cold and warm fronts  whose leading edges move in a particular direction while that of the occluded front spins cyclically.

*<br> 1. In the water cycle, water goes from a liquid to a gas during which stage?
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer:Evaporation Evaporation is simply the process by which liquid turns into a gas. Water (a liquid) turns into vapor (a gas) when heat energy is applied to raise its temperature to 100°C (212°F). Water in the liquid state is a compound, and the heat breaks up the bonds into water molecules, which is gaseous.

Select the incorrect statement regarding macromolecules found in cells.
Otrada [13]

Answer:

The repeating subunits of DNA are ribonucleotides whereas in RNA they are deoxyribonucleotides.

Explanation:

Ribonucleotides are repeating subunit of RNA while the deoxy-ribonucleotides are repeating subunits of DNA. That why RNA full form represent the ribonucleic acid and DNA represent deoxyribonucleic acid.

Actually the word "deoxy" means one oxygen is removed or less in DNA. The DNA  lacks the one oxygen atom of hydroxyl group at carbon number two of ribose sugar. While RNA have the hydroxyl group at carbon number two of hydrogen atom.

The removal of one hydrogen atom in DNA make it more stable than RNA because DNA is made specifically to store genetic information and needed to be strong. The oxygen atom in RNA makes it vulnerable for attack by other biological molecules.
