X +15 + x + 15 + x + 15 = 3x + 45

divide by 3 from both of them, which eqauls 3(x + 15)

3(x+15)

There are 3 x's which = 3x

there are three 15's which = 15 + 15 + 15 = 45

your answer is 3(x + 15)

hope this helps

Answer:
21
Step by step explanation:
So, what we know is that we have 3 field goals, each worth 3 points, and 2 touchdowns, each worth 6 points. So we can do: 3 * 3 + 2 * 6. To break this down we first must do 3 * 3. This gets us an answer of 9, we then must do 2 * 6. Which gives us an answer of 12. Now that we have multiplied the 2, we may add, 9 + 12 = 21. Meaning our answer is 21. I hope this helped you out! determine if the quadratic equation has 2 solutions, one, or 2 imaginary solutions by using the descriminant
Maurinko [17]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

31a.  2 real roots

31b   2 complex roots

Discussion:

31a.

2x^2 + 3x - 6 = 0

Using standard quadratic notation, the above equation has a  = 2, b = 3 and c = -6. The discriminant is given by b^2 - 4ac, which is

3^2 - 4*2*(-6) = 9 + 48 = 57 > 0, so the quadratic has 2 real roots

31b.

The equation is equivalent to  16x^2 + 10x  +3 = 0. Its discriminant is

10^2 - 4 * (16) * (3) = 100 - 192 = -92 so this equation has two complex roots

Mr. Abernathy purchased a selection of wrenches for his shop. The total cost was $78. He bought the same number of $1.50 and $2.
Over [174]
78 = 1.50x + 2.50x + 4(x/2)) + 3((x/2) + 1))
78 = 4x + 4(x/2) + 3((x/2)+1)
78 = 4x + 2x + (3(x/2) + 3)
78 = 6x + 1.5x + 3
75 = 7.5x
10 = x
Mr. Abernathy bought 10 wrenches at $1.50, 10 wrenches at $2.50, 5 wrenches at $4, and 6 wrenches at $3.

The ratio of dogs to cats at an animal shelter is 33 to 22. How many dogs are at the shelter if there is a total of 3030 animals
Elena-2011 [213]
D : c = 33 : 22
where d is the number of dogs and c is the number of cats;
and: d + c = 3030
33 c = 22 d  / : 11
3 c = 2 d
From the other equation: c = 3030 - d
3 * ( 3030 - d ) = 2 d
9090 - 3 d = 2 d
5 d = 9090
d = 9090 : 5
d = 1818
Answer: There are 1818 dogs in the shelter.
