<u>Answer:</u>

Distance between the points 5,1 and 9,-6 is 8.0622

<u>Explanation:</u>

Given points = (5,1) and (9,-6)

The square root of this is the distance between the points Distance  can be calculated

from the expression=   \sqrt{(x 2-x 1)^{2}+(y 2-y 1)^{2}}

=   \sqrt{(9-5)^{2}+(-6-1)^{2}}

=     \sqrt{(4)^{2}+(-7)^{2}}

=     \sqrt{16+49}=\sqrt{65}=8.0622

Distance (d) from given points = (5,1) and (9,-6) is  8.0622.

Which of these lines is perpendicular to the line y = 3x + 2?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

(c)  y=\frac{-1}{3}x+4  will be perpendicular to the line y = 3x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given the the equation of line as y = 3x+2

We know the equation of line as y = mx+c , here m is slope and c is intercept

On comparing with standard equation of line m = 3

We know that slope of perpendicular line is =\frac{-1}{m}

So the slope of the line which is perpendicular to y = 3x+2  will be =\frac{-1}{3}

Now (a) Line is given as y=\frac{1}{3}x+3 its slope is \frac{1}{3} so it will be not perpendicular

(b)  Line is given as y=\frac{1}{3}x+2 its slope is \frac{1}{3} so it will be not perpendicular

(c)  Line is given as y=\frac{-1}{3}x+4 its slope is \frac{-1}{3} so it will be perpendicular to the line y = 3x+2

(d) Line is given as y=3x+\frac{1}{2} its slope is 3 so it will not perpendicular to the line y = 3x+2

The sales team at an electronics store sold 48 computers last month. The manager at the store wants to encourage the sales team
brilliants [131]
The number of computers sold has to be 30% more than 48.
30% of 48 plus the numbers sold last month
.3 x 48 +48
14.4 +48
62.4
Round up because the numbers has to be an integer value. (You can't have 2/5 of a computer).

63 computers

Hope this helps :)

Find the value of each variable:
Leona [35]

Answer:

5√3 = b

5 = d

10√3 = a

15 = c

Step-by-step explanation:

Sin60° = opp/hyp

sin60° = b/10

10sin60° = b

5√3 = b

Cos60° = adj/hyp

Cos60° = d/10

10Cos60° = d

5 = d

Sin30° = opp/hyp

Sin30° = 5√3/a

a = 5√3/Sin30°

a = 10√3

Tan30° = opp/adj

Tan30° = 5√3/c

c = 5√3/tan30°

c = 15
