One who can apply personal character strengths in career, experience more satisfaction, flow, enjoyment and meaning at work. This is backed by the Parson's personality development theory which states that better the fit between the occupation and the individual, better the success and the satisfaction. Its always the inner motivation that helps one to succeed. Success is a long journey which demands patience that one cannot have for the long term until and unless he is interested in the work he is doing. So, when one chooses career after knowing the aim of his life, he know that he has to pursue that for the lifetime and hence it is important that he is interested in it and suits his personality.
...I'm not exactly sure if I'm answering this correctly, but I believe if we're talking about Career Development this may be about the Parsons' theory? The Parsons' theory assumes that a personality could be matched to an occupation, depending on those personality traits.
If someone has a career/job that feeds on specific things that person is good at, then I think they'd stick with that job. Especially if it's a job they love, and or are very happy with it! I would say certain personalities work better with certain careers.

Rhizobia are a "group of soil bacteria that infect the roots of legumes to form root nodules". Rhizobia are found in the soil and after infection, produce nodules in the legume where they fix nitrogen gas (N2) from the atmosphere turning it into a more readily useful form of nitrogen.
