2y=10x-14
5x-y=7

Divide both sides by 2 in the 1st equation
y=5x-7
Now substitute is to 2nd equation
5x-5x+7=7
0=0

Therefore there is no solution or it is inconsistent

7/2 x+1/2x=1/2+9/2x help
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

x=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{7}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}x=\frac{1}{2}+\frac{9}{2}x

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

\frac{7}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}x=\frac{1}{2}+\frac{9}{2}x

(\frac{7}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}x)=\frac{9}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}  (Combine Like Terms)

4x=\frac{9}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}

4x=\frac{9}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}

Step 2: Subtract \frac{9}{2}x from both sides.

4x-\frac{9}{2}x=\frac{9}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}-\frac{9}{2}x

\frac{-1}{2}x=\frac{1}{2}

Step 3: Multiply both sides by (\frac{2}{-1}).

(\frac{2}{-1})*(\frac{-1}{2}x)=(\frac{2}{-1})*(\frac{1}{2})

x=-1

Therefore, x=-1 will be your final answer.

Sorry this took very long. I had to calculate all of this.
