The potential energy is 6 joules
Gravity is equal to 9.8 m/s
The height from where it is from is 3 meters

The mass = 6/(9.8 x 3) =
                                             6/(29.40) = 0.204 kg!

Aliun [14]

Answer: velocity = 79.6m/s, distance covered = 139.6m and velocity when distance is 10.0m = 61.611m/s

Explanation:

First step is to take a direction of motion, so to avoid issues with negative sign, I take my direction of motion as the positive y axis which makes the parameters positive.

The object is of a free fall thus it has a constant acceleration of g = 9.8m/s².

a) initial velocity (u) = 60m/s, g = 9.8m/s², time taken (t) =2s, we need to get velocity at that time using the formulae below

v = u + at

v = 60 + (9.8)* 2

v = 60 + 19.6

v = 79.6m/s

b) to get the distance traveled at t =2s, we use the formulae below

s =ut + 1/2at² where s = distance covered.

s = 60 * 2 + 1/2 * 9.8 * 2²

s = 120 + 1/2 *9.8 * 4

s = 120 + 9.8 * 2

s = 120 + 19.6

s = 139.6m

c) to get the velocity (v) when distance traveled (s) = 10m, we use the formulae below.

v² = u² + 2as

v² = 60² + 2( 9.8)(10)

v² = 3600 + 196

v² = 3796

v = √3796

v = 61.611m

N76 [4]

Answer:

30 m/s

Explanation:

Vf = ?

Vi = 0 m/s

a = 20 m/s^2

t = 1.5 s

Plug those values into the equation: Vf = Vi + at

Vf = 0 + (20)(1.5)

Vf = 30 m/s

The lowest-pitch tone to resonate in a pipe of length l that is closed at one end and open at the other end is 200 hz. Which fre
Natali [406]

Answer:

The frequency 400 hz is not possible .

Explanation:

Given that,

Frequency = 200 hz

Length = l

Suppose, The given frequencies are,

600 Hz, 1000 Hz, 1400 Hz, 1800 Hz and 400 hz.

The possible resonance frequencies are

We need to calculate the fundamental frequency

Using formula of fundamental frequency for pipe

F=\dfrac{nv}{4L}

Where, n = odd number

Put the value of frequency

200= \dfrac{nv}{4L}

We need to calculate the first over tone

Using formula of fundamental frequency

n = 3,

F=\dfrac{nv}{4L}

Put the value into the formula

F_{2}=3\times\dfrac{v}{4l}

F_{2}=3\times200

F_{2}=600\ Hz

We need to calculate the second over tone

Using formula of fundamental frequency

n = 5,

F=\dfrac{nv}{4L}

Put the value into the formula

F_{3}=5\times200

F_{3}=1000\ Hz

We need to calculate the third over tone

Using formula of fundamental frequency

n = 7,

F=\dfrac{nv}{4L}

Put the value into the formula

F_{4}=7\times200

F_{4}=1400\ Hz

We need to calculate the fourth over tone

Using formula of fundamental frequency

n = 9,

F=\dfrac{nv}{4L}

Put the value into the formula

F_{5}=9\times200

F_{5}=1800\ Hz

Hence, The frequency 400 hz is not possible .

At a lab investigating fire extinguisher foams, a heavy ball is accidentally dropped into a deep vat of foam from a crane 6.10 m
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

22.8077659955 m deep

Explanation:

t = Time taken

u = Initial velocity

v = Final velocity

s = Displacement

a = Acceleration

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s² = a

v^2-u^2=2as\\\Rightarrow v=\sqrt{2as+u^2}\\\Rightarrow v=\sqrt{2\times 9.81\times 6.1+0^2}\\\Rightarrow v=10.9399268736\ m/s

v=u+at\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{v-u}{a}\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{10.9399268736-0}{9.81}\\\Rightarrow t=1.11518112881\ s

Time taken to fall through the foam

3.2-1.11518112881=2.08481887119\ s

Distance is given by

s=vt\\\Rightarrow s=10.9399268736\times 2.08481887119\\\Rightarrow s=22.8077659955\ m

The vat is 22.8077659955 m deep
