Rate of change is the same as slope in this case.
(1350-1200)/(2008-2005) = 150/3 = $50 increase per year
The initial amount he started charging was $1200 a year.
y = 50x + 1200, where x represents the number of years since 2005.

Using distributive property
Hoochie [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step:  Step 1: Add -19x to both sides

 48x-6y+3+-19x=19x+15y+-19x

29x-6y+3=15y

Step 2: Add 6y to both sides

29x-6y+3+6y=15y+6y

29x+3=21y

Step 3: Add -3 to both sides

29x+3+-3=21y+-3

29x=21y-3

Step 4: Divide both sides by 29

29x/29=21y-3/29

x=21/29y+ -3/29

Carol is a pet groomer whose yearly gross pay is $45,000. Her exemptions total $4,000 and the state tax rate is 3.5%. How much d
Goryan [66]

Answer:

  $119.58

Step-by-step explanation:

We expect Carol's annual tax bill to be the difference of her pay and exemption, multiplied by the tax rate:

  annual tax = ($45,000 -4,000) × 0.035 = $1,435

Then her monthly tax bill will be 1/12 of this:

  monthly state tax = $1435/12 = $119.58

Carol pays $119.58 in state taxes each month.

(x+2)(2x+1)+(x+2)(2x-3) factorizar
koban [17]

Answer:

(x + 2)(4x - 2).

Step-by-step explanation:

(x+2)(2x+1)+(x+2)(2x-3)

Note that  (x + 2) is common to 2 parts of the expression. So we have:

(x + 2)(2x + 1 + 2x - 3)

= Ix + 2)(4x - 2)
