I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but- If Omar pays off his $800 car loan using the $750 from his savings account he'll need to use $50 from his credit card balance. He'll have $0 left over in his savings and $200 left over in his credit card. He won't have to worry about his car loan anymore, but he will have to worry about paying off his credit card loan now since his savings is zeroed out.

What is the equation of the Points (4,3) and (-2,0)
aev [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The model equation: y = mx + b

First, we should find the slope. The equation is

\frac{y2 - y1}{x2-x1}

The numbers in the equation stand for the y or x variable from either the first or second point. So, we plug in the numbers and get,

\frac{3-0}{4-(-2)}

\frac{3}{4+2} = \frac{3}{6} = \frac{1}{2}

What we have right now is y = 1/2x + b. To solve for b (the y-intercept), we have to take one of the points and plug in the x and y variables. If we take the first point, the equation becomes,

3 = 1/2(4) + b

3 = 2 + b

b = 3 - 2

b = 1

The final equation is,

y = \frac{1}{2}x + 1
