When plotting on a coordinate plane you always "run before you jump" so you would have the -2 stay because down would be the jumping portion and in this you would be falling down 4 and it is four so it would turn into zero.
a = for a circle. We do not want to find the area for a whole circle. We only want to find the area for part of a circle. a hole circle is 360 degrees.
