B. negative acceleration

6 0

the correct choice is

b. negative acceleration

acceleration is given as rate of change of velocity and is given by the formula

a = (v - v₀)/t

where a = acceleration , v = final velocity, v₀ = initial velocity , t = time

as the car slows down , the final velocity is smaller than the initial velocity.

v < v₀

so (v - v₀) < 0

so acceleration = a =  (v - v₀)/t

since (v - v₀) < 0

hence a < 0

so the acceleration is negative

Use the Travel Time function of the Interactivity to find the distance between each of your cities (their respective seismometer
fgiga [73]

Answer:

The correct options are;

A. The longer the S- and P-waves travel, the farther apart their wave fronts are in kilometers.

D. The larger the S–P value is, the farther the seismometer is located from the epicenter.

E. The farther the epicenter is, the greater the time difference in the arrival of the P- and S-waves at a seismometer.

Explanation:

Analyzing each of the statements, we have;

A. A P wave travels much faster than an S wave and a S wave can travel only through solid rock.

Therefore, A.  the longer the S and P waves travel, the farther apart their wave fronts are in kilometers is correct

B. A P wave travels much faster than an S wave therefore, B is not correct as the epicenter and seismometer are two points separated by a distance which if the distance increases, the time interval between the arrival of the P and S wave increases

C. For similar reason, C is not correct

D. As the P wave travels much faster than an S wave, D is correct

E.  Similarly, E. is correct, due to the difference in speed of the S and P waves

Mila [183]

Since the biker is moving at constant speed

so we will have

v = \frac{distance}{time}

here we know that

distance = 2\pi R

time = 4 second

now we have

v = \frac{2\pi R}{4} = \frac{\pi R}{2}

now at the top point it feels free fall

so it is

mg = \frac{mv^2}{R}

v^2 = Rg

(\frac{\pi R}{2})^2 = Rg

R = \frac{4g}{\pi^2}

so height of the bike at the top is same as diameter

h = 2R

h = \frac{8g}{\pi^2} = 7.95 meter

Yes it will hurt on falling from this height

A 0.150 kg metallic block measures 25.0 mm in length, 43.0 mm in width, and 19 .0 mm in height. what is the density of the metal
Sliva [168]

Density = (mass) / (volume)

Mass = 0.150 kg = 150 grams

Volume = (length) · (width) · (height)

Volume = (2.5 cm) · (4.3 cm) · (1.98 cm)

Volume = 21.285 cm³

Density =  (150 g) / (21.285 cm³)

Density =  7.05 g/cm³
