Find the measure of angle x. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth. (please type the numerical answer only)
Alex

The value of x in the triangle is 28.1 degrees

How to solve for x?

The given triangle is a right triangle.

So, the relationship between the sides and angle x is:

sin(x) = opposite/hypotenuse

This gives

sin(x) = 8/17

Evaluate the quotient

sin(x) = 0.4706

Take the arc sin of both sides

x = \sin^{-1}(0.4706)

Evaluate

x = 28.1

Hence, the value of x in the triangle is 28.1 degrees

If f(x) = 3x2 + x - 5, find f(4). Show your steps.
Flura [38]

Answer:

f(4)=47

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the answer, replace the x’s in the equation with 4. This would make the equation 3(4)^2 + 4 - 5. According to PEMDAS, you would first raise 4 to the power of 2 (16) then multiply it by 3 (48). This makes the equation 48 + 4 - 5. You just need to add and subtract from here. 48+4=52. 52-5=47

please help me to solve this equation i tried to look it up on multiple websites but they only confused me 9/4-1/(2x)=4/x
Tcecarenko [31]
Solve for x
so assuming that the fractions are
(9/4)-(1/*2x))=4/x then
get all x on one side
add 1/(2x) to both sides
9/4=(4/x)+(1/(2x))
make common denomators with x and 2x
common denomenator is 2x
4/x times 2/2=8/(2x)
9/4=8/(2x)+1/(2x)
add
9/4=9/(2x)
make common denomators with 4 and 2x
common denomator is 4x
9/4 times x/x=9x/(4x)
9/(2x) times 2/2=18/(4x)
9x/(4x)=18/(4x)
multiply both sides by 4x to clear fraction
9x=18
divide both sides by 9
x=2

Choose the function whose graph is given by:
Sophie [7]

Answer:

C.y=sin(x-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the topic of transformation of functions(rules shown in picture above)

the the (x-2) moves the graph to places to the right

and as the sine graph goes through 0 and so you add 2 to the right (but there is a problem in the graph should in the picture as it should me labeled 0,90,180,270,360 not these small numbers)

hope it helps!! :)
