The equation that you want for this is Vf^2 = Vi^2+2(a)*(deltaX)

Vf is your final velocity - in this case 233 m/s.

Vi is you initial velocity - in this case 119 m/s.

a is acceleration - in this case 17.7 m/s^2

deltaX is the change in your x position - what you are trying to find

plug everything in and solve for deltaX and you get 1133.56 m

Howler monkeys are the loudest land animal on the planet and a single one can be heard from as far as 2.6 km away.
Komok [63]

Answer:

Between 128dB and 149dB

Explanation:

When howling the Howler monkies has a volume between 128db and 149dB. This is as a result of them having a large hyoid bone in the neck.

A chemical reaction takes place within a test tube. After the reaction, the test tube feels warmer than it did before the reacti
jarptica [38.1K]
The correct answer is exothermic. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases heat, and therefore it transfers heat to the surroundings (in this case, the tube), making it warmer. Instead, in an endothermic reaction, the heat is absorbed by the reaction.

I would go with choice C) rub some treatment on it because A) is just plain useless since putting your fingers in your mouth is getting u germs so no, not B) because yes even though cold is the opposite of hot, u don't know what type of burn she may have so u can actually hurt yourself more with the water or even be infected, and definitely not D) because that wont really solve it, its best to see a doctor or professional who can help you.

A block of weight 45.7 N is hanging from a rope. The tension from the rope is pulling upward on the block. The block is accelera
viktelen [127]

Answer:

52.555 N

Explanation:

Let's use Newton's second law of motion here which states that the resultant force (∑F) acting on a body is the product of the mass (m) of the body and the acceleration (a) due to this force. i.e

∑F = m x a            ---------------------(i)

Now, let's get the resultant force;

Two main forces are acting on the rope;

i. the weight (W) of the block acting downwards.

Where;

W = mass of block(m) x gravity(g) = m x g

ii. the tension (T) in the rope acting upwards.

Therefore, the resultant force is the vector sum of these two forces as follows;

∑F = - W + T            [upward motion is taken as positive. hence -W and +T]

Substitute ∑F = - W + T into equation (i) as follows;

- W + T = m x a      ---------------------(ii)

From the question;

* Weight (W) of the block = 45.7N

=> mass (m) of the block = W / g = 45.7 / 10               [Taking g = 10m/s²]

=> m = 4.57 kg

* acceleration (a) = 1.50m/s²

Substitute these values into equation (ii) as follows;

- 45.7 + T = 4.57 x 1.50

- 45.7 + T = 6.855

Solve for T;

T = 6.855 + 45.7

T = 52.555 N

Therefore, the tension in the rope is 52.555 N
