37,253,956 what is the value of the first 5 in California population 10 times as great as the value of the second 5? Explain
Vadim26 [7]
The value of the first 5 is only 50 people. The second 5 is worth 50,000. So if 50 was ten times greater it would still be less because that only equals 500.

So No it isn't .

42.5% of what is 20.57
aliina [53]
In math,
"of" is the same as "×" and "is" means "="

42.5% of x = 20.57
42.5% × x = 20.57
.425x = 20.57
x = 20.57/.425
x = 48.4

42.5% of 48.4 is 20.57

Yes it makes it a true statement because if my math is correct it will add up and the negative is not canceled. That’s only with multiplication
