Shawn is conducting an experiment where he is flipping a fair coin (where the probability of the coin landing heads up is 50%).

After performing the experiment 100 times, the coin fell heads up 78 times. Shawn then decided to perform the experiment 15 more times, during which the coin fell heads up only 3 times. According to this experience, should Shawn question whether or not the coin is a fair coin?
A. No, Shawn understands that as the experiment goes through more trials the experimental probability will approach the theoretical probability.

B.Yes, even with the additional 15 trials of the experiment the coin lands on heads 70.4% of the time.

C.No, the first 100 trials shows heads 78% of the time and the next 15 trials shows tails 80% of the time which proves the coin is fair.

D.Yes, since the coin did not land on heads 50% of the time it cannot be a fair coin.

A straight line that is parallel to one of the sides of a given triangle intersects its other two sides (or their extensions) an
timurjin [86]

Answer:

We know that this triangle is similar because it will have all of the same angles as the first triangle. This is because two parallel lines cut by a transversal will create the same angles. In addition, they share the final angle because we are not changing that angle. Therefore, all 3 are the same, which makes them similar triangles.
